Letter Recognition

N recognizes one letter. The letter 'S'. When he sees a sign with an S on it, he points and says "Look Mom. Like Shrek!". Ok, I guess we've watched that movie a few times...

"S" is for "shawarma"!

Shawarma was one of the first words Daughter #1 read on her own, not out of a book she had memorized, etc. She was in the back seat of the car and asked "Mommy, what does shawarma mean"?

She was told, and then she was asked what made her ask: "Oh, it said shawarma on that sign back there".

And re: Shrek, I went with the kindergartners on their field trip to the Experimental Farm. The tour guide was introducing the donkey and said "The donkey is named Eeyore. Now that I've told you his name, can you guess who the donkey's best friend is?".

About 4 kids yelled "Pooh Bear!", and about 8 kids yelled "Shrek!".

Could be worse.
